Ms. Wahida Ahmed is the Director-General of International Organizations Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. She has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh including as Director South Asia, International Organizations and Consular and MRP. She has also served in Bangladesh Missions in Berlin, Jakarta, Canberra and Kuala Lumpur in different capacities.
Ms. Ahmed holds Honors and Masters in International Relations from University of Dhaka.

Ambassador Ragui El-Etreby has been the Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for International and Regional Economic Relations since August 2022. Prior to that, Ambassador El-Etreby served as the Alternate Executive Director at the World Bank Group from September 2016 to July 2022, where he represented at the Board of Executive Directors the constituency of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Ambassador El-Etreby, served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt since 1993 in various capacities. He was the Personal Representative of the President of Egypt to the G20 (2016); Deputy Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2015-2016); Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Egypt in Tokyo (2011-2015); Counsellor of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2008-2011); First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Geneva (2004-2008); Second Secretary at the Office of the Personal Representative of the President of Egypt to the G15 (2000-2001); Third Secretary of the Embassy of Egypt in Ottawa (1996- 2000): Attache at the Research and Evaluation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1994-1996); and Attache at the Egyptian Institute of Diplomatic Studies (1993-1994).

In 2007, Ambassador El-Etreby was elected Chairman of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Trade in Financial Services in Geneva (2007- 2008). He also served as Economic Affairs Officer in the Globalization and Economic Integration Division at the UN-ESCWA in Beirut (2003-2004); and Economic Affairs Officer in the Trade in Services Division at the WTO in Geneva (2001-2003).

Ambassador El-Etreby received his M.A. in International Political Economy from the Geneva School of International Relations in 2007 and B.A. in Economics from the University of Cairo in 1992.

Ambassador Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa

Born in 1967, Ambassador Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa hails from Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State, Nigeria. He obtained his Primary School Certificate from Magaba Primary School in 1981. He also attended Government Secondary School, Nafada, Gombe State, where he obtained WASC/WAEC Certificate in 1986. Ambassador Lamuwa bagged B. Sc. (Hons) Economics from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State in 1991. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy and Management from the United Nations Institute for African Economic Development and Planning (UN-IDEP), Dakar, Senegal in 2009.

The tested Diplomat joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in January 1993. As a mandatory pre-requisite for being a full-fledged officer, Ambassador Lamuwa attended the Nigerian Foreign Service Academy, Lagos for professional Course on Diplomacy from 1993-1994. He also attended the Indian Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi, India in 1998. As a Foreign Service Officer, Ambassador Lamuwa has served in various departments of the Ministry at its Headquarters in Abuja, including Trade and Investment Division, Training and Staff Welfare Division, African Affairs Division, Planning, Research and Statistics Department and Second United Nations Division (SUND).
Similarly, Ambassador Adamu Lamuwa has served in a number of Nigerian Missions abroad, including the Consulate General of Nigeria, Hong Kong (October 1998-September 2000), Nigerian High Commission, Ottawa, Canada (February 2003-March 2007) and Consulate General of Nigeria, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (October 2010 – July, 2014).
He has also served in various capacities at the State House, Presidential Villa, including Special Assistant to the Principal Secretary to Mr. President from October 2009-September, 2010. He was also a Deputy Director, State House Protocol from August 2014-May 2016. From June 2016 to May 2021, Ambassador Lamuwa served as the Charge d’ Affaires (et) at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Damascus, Syria. From there, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Senegal with concurrent accreditation to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Dr. Asima Rabbani currently holds the position of Director General (SIFC & Economic Diplomacy) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to this, she served as Director General (OIC & Economic Diplomacy).

Her most recent overseas assignment was as Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission for Pakistan in Canberra. She has also been posted to New Zealand and Jordan. At the Headquarters, she worked in the Europe, Americas, Afghanistan, Middle East, and Training & Career Planning Directorates.

Dr. Rabbani holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. Her thesis focused on the United Nations’ collective security architecture and the challenges posed by nihilist non-state actors. She has presented her research at academic conferences in Australia, Great Britain, and Italy. During her doctoral studies, she also tutored and lectured undergraduates at UNSW Canberra.

Dr. Rabbani joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1998.
