The Secretary-General His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari had a meeting with the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, His Excellency Dato’ Sri Saifuddin Abdullah on 21st December 2021 in Istanbul during the latter’s official visit to the Republic of Turkey. They had fruitful discussions on several issues.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister conveyed his appreciation to the Secretary-General for his efforts, initiatives and achievements during his tenure. He also expressed the unwavering commitment of Malaysia to continue to support the D-8 in its activities.
On his part, the Secretary-General also conveyed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister for the constructive support and continuous assistance of the Government of Malaysia to the D-8 Organization during his tenure of service. He also briefed the Hon’ble Minister regarding the developments, initiatives and latest progress regarding the activities of the D-8.
The meeting ended with presentation of gift to the Hon’ble Minister by the Secretary-General and photo session.
