A group of students from Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung, Indonesia visited the D-8 Secretariat on 11 June 2015. The objective of the visit, among others, was to discuss international relations and cooperation with particular reference to the D-8 countries and how they revitalize their national economies through various strategies, policies and measures through establishing or joining group/collective arrangements.

The students were briefed on development of the D-8 Organization in last 18 years, including background, principles and commitments of the D-8, priority areas and other areas of cooperation among Member States, external relations as well as challenges and opportunities facing within the D-8. The group was also updated with economic experience and developments among D-8 Member States.

The group noted that fruitful collaboration and close cooperation among D-8 Member States would increase D-8 intra-trade and investments and upgrade industrial and infrastructure development.
