D-8 Secretary-General Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi has congratulated Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdo?an on the auspicious occasion of his election to the highest office of Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. 

Mousavi in his message has said that with the decisive result of the August 10 Presidential election, the people of Turkey have entrusted him with the confidence and leadership to guide the nation to an enlightened future. He has expressed high hope that Turkey’s engagement with the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation will be more intensive than ever before, particularly bearing in mind that Turkey would assume the Chair of the D-8 in the upcoming Summit this year for the second time. Turkey’s Chairmanship of the D-8 will reinvigorate the joint efforts for economic uplift of the region.

Mousavi wished Mr.  Erdo?an  health, happiness, and success in his new capacity as the leader of Turkey.
