Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi, D-8 Secretary-General, called on Ambassador Zainal Abidin, D-8 Commissioners of Malaysia, on 20 May 2015 at Putrajaya. 

Dr. Mousavi updated the Commissioner with latest developments taking place within the D-8 Organization, particularly five priority areas of cooperation namely trade, industry and SMEs, agriculture and food security, transportation and energy. The Secretary-General also hoped that the Commissioner would be able to attend the upcoming 36th D-8 Commission in June 2015 in Islamabad and help advance the agenda ahead. He underscored the crucial role of the D-8 Commissioners as the Executive organ of the Organization. 

Ambassador Zainal thanked the Secretary-General for the update and assured him that Malaysia remained committed in the D-8 Organization and would contribute towards realization of the goal and target set by the Leaders of the D-8 Organization for the benefit of the people in the region.
