Secretary-General attended 4th International Benevolence Awards Ceremony

The Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, Ambassador Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari attended the 4th International Benevolence Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkish Diyanet Foundation to honor people from different parts of the world who contributed to benevolence for humanity. The ceremony was held at the Congress Center of the Presidential Complex, Ankara, Turkey on Tuesday, 13th March 2018. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of  Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan;  President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Ismail Kahraman; Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Binali Yildirim; Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Bekir Bozdag; Commander of Turkish Armed Forces,  General Hulusi Akar; President of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Professor Ali Erbas as well as deputies, ambassadors,  businessmen and students from different parts of the world. In his statement, President  Erdogan described the awards as seals of hope, courage and strength for the good deeds of Turkish nationals as well as people from different corners of the world.
At the ceremony, seven people, namely Ms. Sevde Sevan Usak, Mr. Kanber Bozan, Mr. Yahya Hashemi and Mr. Ala Abdelrezaq Jabur, Mr. Mahmut Karaman, Mr. Muhammed Bzeek, Mr. Levent Uckan, Mr. Hasan Kizil, were deemed worthy of benevolence award because of their services to humanity. Furthermore, Turkish Armed Forces were conferred with fidelity award at the ceremony and the award was given to the Commander of Turkish Armed Forces, General Akar on behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces.
