President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdo?an met editors in chief of newspapers and television channels on 14 September 2014 in Istanbul. D-8 was discussed among other issues in the meeting.

President Erdo?an said that he would put new efforts to make the D-8 Organization successful in achieving its vision and objectives through partnership. He mentioned that D-8 would be a mainstream inter-governmental Organization, not only foster partnership among its Member States but also to work closely with other international and regional Organization for collaborative partnership.

President Erdo?an also said that this current situation of the Organization was to be revised and strengthened in terms of budget, personnel and other aspects in to order to give it a new yet effective shape.
