Pakistan, Iran ink eight agreements and MoUs

Pakistan and Iran signed eight agreements and memorandums of understating (MoU) in different fields to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri witnessed the signing ceremony held in Tehran.
These agreements and MoUs include agreement on Transfer of Offenders, MOUs on Anti-Money Laundering, Statistical Cooperation, Renewal of the Cultural Exchange Programme, Sports Cooperation, Cooperation in Preventing and Combating Pollution from Ships, and Establishment of Joint Border Commission.
An MoU on establishment of High Border Commission was signed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Pakistani premier?s advisor for National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
Another cooperation MoU was on prevention and prohibition of money laundering and financial support for terrorist groups which was signed by Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayyeb-Nia and his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Es-haq Dar.
The two ministers also inked two more MoUs on exchange of financial information in the field of money laundering and statistical cooperation.
Meanwhile, a cooperation MoU on prevention of and confrontation with pollution of ships was signed by Iran?s Minister of Road and Urban Planning Abbas Akhoundi and Pakistan Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbadi. 
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and Sartaj Aziz also inked an MoU on cultural, scientific, educational, technical, youth and family affairs.
The next MoU was on sport cooperation signed by Minister of Sports and Youth Mahmoud Goudarzi and Khaqan Abbadi.
Iran?s Justice Minister Mustafa Pour-Mohammadi and Sartaj Aziz also signed an MoU on exchange of prisoners between the two countries.

Congratulations to Foreign Minister Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on signing these MoUs with Iran.
