Assalaam o alaykum

On the auspicious occasion of Eid-El-Fitr, which marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, the D-8 Secretariat joins me in sending our best wishes to Muslims across the world.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a unique occasion that provides us with a golden opportunity to renew our spiritual lives and engage in soul searching with a view to improving our character and our absolute faith in Allah. It is also a profitable opportunity to strengthen our unity and friendship.
While we enjoy the celebratory delight of this great occasion, we must not forget our brothers and sisters who are suffering across the world and it is my fervent hope that this Eid will bring smiles to their faces through our sentiments of solidarity, brotherhood, compassion, love and peace.
Finally, I wish the entire Muslim ummah Allah’s guidance and divine protection. May He turn our efforts, expectations and prayers to reality.
