The Deputy Secretary-General of Tourism Policy and International Affairs Division Malaysia, Mrs. Haslina Abdul Hamid paid a courtesy call to the D-8 Secretary General, Ambassador Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari on 7 February, 2018 at the D-8 Secretariat in Istanbul.  

The two officials held fruitful discussions in a cordial environment. They exchanged views on possible cooperation and experience sharing in the field of Tourism and the role of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia in promoting a variety of Tourism activities in Malaysia. The Malaysian official expressed the willingness of their Government to host a Work shop on Tourism as well as the 2nd D-8 Trade Ministerial Meeting on Tourism tentatively in July 2018 to share the experiences and best practices of the Malaysian Tourism Sector with the D-8 Member States.
