Agriculture Minister of Turkey, Mr. Mehmet Mehdi Eker, hosted a lunch in Ankara for Ambassadors of the Developing Eight (D-8) Member States on 11 September 2014. The Secretary-General of the D-8 Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi and all the resident D-8 Ambassadors attended the luncheon. 

Minister Eker informed the Ambassadors of the upcoming 5th D-8 Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture that is scheduled on 15-17 October 2014 in Istanbul.

Dr. Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, informed the Minister and Ambassadors of the recent activities and developments of D-8 agriculture cooperation. He also highlighted upcoming D-8 meetings to be held in Turkey with particular reference to the 9th D8 Summit which will be held in December 2014.
