D-8 Secretary-General, Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Akkan Suver, the Chairman of Marmara Group Foundation in Istanbul on 4 March 2014. Secretary-General Mousavi informed Dr. Suver of the activities in D-8 and emphasized the importance of the cooperation between Think Tanks and D-8. Dr. Mousavi also underlined the importance of D-8’s visibility in Turkey, as the next Chair of the Organization. He also mentioned that not only the contribution of political organizations, but also the contribution of business world, academia and non-governmental organizations are significant for the D-8’s competency.
