Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, received the ‘Islamic World Istanbul Strategy’ Award conferred upon the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation by Think Tanks Platform of Islamic Countries (ISTTP) as recognition of its institutional contribution and success. He received the award from the President of Pakistan, Mr. Mamnoon Hussain.

The Secretary-General expressed that the award would be inspiring in the endeavour to continuously seek further excellence and cooperative development. He added that this honour would encourage pursuing continuous efforts for the well-being of all the Member States. He profoundly thanked the organisers for choosing the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.

Mentionable, at the invitation of Mr. Süleyman Şensoy, Chairman, Think Tank Forum of the Islamic Countries (TASAM) and Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman, Defence Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, attended the 6th Think Tanks Forum of the Islamic Countries on Building Multi-Dimensional Security in the Islamic Countries in Islamabad on 07 March 2015.
