Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, D-8 Secretary-General, met Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, President of Turkey at the sideline of 32nd Session of the COMCEC meeting on 23 Novemebr 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey. 

They exchanged mainly on the 9th Summit to be held in Turkey in 2017. Dr. Mousavi expressed that by the 9th Summit in 2017, Turkey will resume the role of Presidency. He also mentioned that the resumption of leadership of the D-8 by Turkey would mark the beginning of the 2nd cycle of policy implementation for the organization. He hoped that the Turkish leadership would assume the D-8 Presidency through the 9th Summit soon.
