Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, congratulated Mr. Ahmet Davuto?lu on the occasion of landslide electoral victory of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK PART?) in the 1st November parliamentary poll.
Dr. Mousavi said that the decisive result demonstrated a strong mandate of the people of Turkey to the Justice and Development Party (AK PART?) to steer the nation to an enlightened future. He noted that the election result was a reflection of the Turkish peoples aspirations for a strong government that would reshape Turkeys position and role in the global interplay.
Dr. Mousavi also expressed confidence that the new government would emulate all its earlier records of development and emancipation. He hoped to work in even closer cooperation and with high spirit with the government in consolidating brotherly and cooperative relations among our Member States, and to a higher level of collective endeavour for achieving our common goals.
