Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, called on Mr. Bulus Zom Lolo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria on 24 February 2016 at the Foreign office in Abuja.

The two interlocutors held a very fruitful and effective discussion in a cordial environment. Dr. Mousavi informed the Secretary of the latest developments taking place within the Organization and conveyed that the Secretariat was working in full swing to implement the vision set by the Organization’s leaders. He informed the Secretary of the regular session of the D-8 Commission scheduled on 16-17 April 2016 in Istanbul and hoped that the Secretary, who is also the D-8 Commissioner, would be able to contribute personally to the meeting. 

Ambassador Lolo warmly welcomed the Secretary-General and appreciated his efforts and dynamism in furthering the D-8 cause. He assured him of all cooperation. He informed him of the latest policy developments within Nigeria and shared some success stories in different sub-sectors.
