D-8 Secretariat offered its felicitations on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Independence of Indonesia and wished the people and Government of Indonesia a happy anniversary. In a congratulatory note addressed to D-8 Commissioner of Indonesia, and copied to the Ambassador in Ankara, Secretary-General Widi Pratikto expressed his high appreciation for Indonesia’s active membership in the D-8 Organization since its inception back in 1997, and wished its further strengthening in the years to come. Pratikto also drew on the excellent relations between Indonesia and the D-8 Secretariat, and emphasized the anticipation for much closer liaison and cooperation in the future.
