D-8 Secretariat offered its felicitations on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Independence of Malaysia and wished the people and Government of Malaysia a happy anniversary. In a congratulatory note addressed to D-8 Commissioner of Malaysia, and copied to the Ambassador in Ankara, Secretary-General Widi Pratikto expressed his high appreciation for Malaysia’s active membership in the D-8 Organization since its inception back in 1997, and wished its further strengthening in the years to come. Pratikto also drew on the excellent relations between Malaysia and the D-8 Secretariat, and emphasized the anticipation for much closer liaison and cooperation in the future.
