D-8 Launches New Website Upgrade to Enhance Service to Member Countries

D-8 launches its new upgraded website on 18 June 2012, with an enhanced modern design and functionality to increase its online service to the Member Countries and its general public 

D-8 is pleased to announce the launching of its new upgraded website on 18 June 2012, with an enhanced modern design and functionality to increase its online service to the Member Countries and its general public. The reconstruction and upgrading of the Website, which is a part of the Secretariat effort to enhance its administerial service, has particularly intended to bring a more user-friendly design, and to improve its architecture in the navigation scheme, interface layout, and its function as an authorized one-stop clearinghouse for documents and information retrieval.
The Website upgrade reflects the Organization increased and expanded activities in a more timely and efficient manner, and shall render a much better assistance to the collective activities and endeavors within the D-8 community, especially towards promoting a more dynamic interaction with its interlocutors, particularly the private sector in the Member Countries. 
"The new website is one of our tool that helps communicate to, and within, Member Countries, of the essential informations and messages, and it underlines our common belief of the need to efficiently intensify our cooperation for tangible benefits that our partnerships brings. It also a tool to convey our collective voice to the world, to affirm and emphasize the importance of D-8 in contributing to the economic development of its member countries and ensure that it promotes global trade," said Dr. Widi Pratikto in his launching message.
The download function in this new website is dedicated as a privilege to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Member Countries, as well as – in some technical areas, also extended to other related Ministries of the areas of cooperation. The credential of this download function are distributed through Circular to the D-8 Commissioners of each member states. Officials from other ministries are advised to retrieve the user ID and password from the D-8 Desk of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of his or her country.
