The D-8 Secretary-General addressed the D-8 Chambers of Commerce and Industry (D-8CCI) Plenary Assembly and Business Forum organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) from 1-3 November 2018 in Antalya, Turkey.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) participated in the meeting at high levels.

The D-8 CCI Statute was adopted at the Plenary Assembly. Following the Plenary Assembly, a Business Forum was held with the participation of all D-8 member Chambers where a comprehensive report titled “ A Global Vision for the D-8: How to facilitate B2B interaction within the framework of D-8?” was presented by the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). KOMEPS Fintech also presented a report on D-8 Payment Card and the report on establishing D-8 Free Industrial Parks (Zones) was presented by the Turkish Technic.

The report of activities of D-8 CCI was presented to the Foreign Ministers of D-8 at the 18th Council of Ministers Meeting held on 3rd of November, 2018 in Antalya, Turkey.
During Turkey’s term presidency of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has assumed the term presidency of the D-8 CCI.
