Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mosud Mannan, ndc was on a courtesy call to the D-8 Secretariat on 17th of November 2020. He was warmly welcomed by the Secretary-General, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari. He was accompanied by Consul General, Mr. Mohammad Monirul Islam.

Mr. Mannan reaffirmed his country’s commitment as one of the valued and founding Members of the Developing Eight Organization for Economic Cooperation and promised to work closely with the Secretariat in order to advance the development agenda and promote economic ties among the friendly D-8 Member States.

During the meeting, the Secretary General apprised him about the affiliated organizations and ongoing projects of the D-8. Both officials exchanged views on recent developments and future engagements. They agreed that enhanced engagement by the Member States would foster economic ties and strengthen the network in all areas of cooperation. During the visit, Ambassador Mannan signed the visitor’s book of the Secretariat.
