Director II Economy, Implementation and External Relations
A career diplomat, Mr. Punjul Nugraha joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2003, where he served in various positions at Jakarta headquarters and at the Indonesian Missions abroad.
Before assuming his current position, he was a Deputy Director responsible for managing relations with European Countries at the Indonesian Foreign Ministry. His prior positions were the Assistant Deputy Director for Combating Transnational Organized Crime and Desk Officer for Intra-Regional Cooperation in Asia, the Pacific, and Africa. His tour abroad includes as the Head of Chancery at the Indonesian Embassy in Prague, the Czech Republic; Socio-Cultural and Press Officer at the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium; and a short stint as an intern at the Indonesian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. He was also seconded to the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta under the ASEAN Young Diplomats Attachment Programme.
Mr. Punjul Nugraha holds a master’s degree in Communication Management from the University of Indonesia in Jakarta and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
