Members of the Malaysian Students Association in Sudan (MASAS) paid a courtesy call on the D-8 Secretary-General, Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari at the D-8 Secretariat in Istanbul on 19 February 2019. The objective of the visit, among others, was to discuss economic cooperation among the D-8 countries.

The students were briefed on the organization whose membership stretches into three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa. They were also updated on recent developments taking place within the D-8 Organization as well as the role and engagement of the Organization as a prominent inter-governmental entity for economic development as envisaged by its leaders.
