D-8 Secretary General’s visit to Ambassador Kenan Ipek

D-8 Secretary General Mousavi paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Kenan Ipek, the recently appointed Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey in Istanbul on 7 February 2014.
During the visit, both sides exchanged views on how to increase the visibility of the Organization. Ambassador Ipek pointed out the importance of establishing relations with D-8 and the African Union, a union consisting of 54 African states based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he represented Turkey as an Ambassador in his previous tenure.
Ambassador Ipek kindly committed all his support for D-8 and Secretary General Mousavi expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and productive suggestions provided.
