Secretary-General called on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

D-8 Secretary-General Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi called on Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 17 November 2017 at the  Minister’s Office in Abuja.
Dr. Mousavi registered his profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to the esteemed Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for kindly and graciously hosting the Ministerial meeting on Industry just few weeks after the 9th D-8 Summit that was held on 20th October, 2017 in Turkey. This event served as an opportunity for D-8 Industry Ministers to review progress and prepare strategies to achieve the goals set by the D-8 leaders at the Summit.  
Dr. Mousavi apprised the Hon’ble Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria about the latest developments taking place within the D-8 Organization and informed that the D-8 Secretariat was working hard to implement the vision set by the D-8 Organization’s leaders. He sought his support and guidance in furthering the common agenda to consolidate the partnership and close cooperation among the D-8 Member States. He also underscored a comprehensive approach for development of projects and programs that would serve the common goal of D-8. 
Dr. Mousavi also told a few words to mark this farewell visit. For the last five years, he had the opportunity to work with many dedicated and courageous people of D-8. He would just say thank you for your leadership, commitment and valuable guidance which always give him strength and motivation to work harder and harder.
