D-8 Industry Ministers will meet in Tehran
The D-8 will hold the 4th Ministerial Meeting on Industry on 26-28 January 2015 in Tehran, Iran, to consolidate and strengthen cooperation in Industry and Small & Medium Enterprises among the Member States. Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran will host the meeting in Tehran. 
The 3-day meeting, hosted by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be attended by the Industry Ministers and other high officials, and experts from the Member States, as well as by representatives from private sector and local/international organizations.
The D-8 previously held its 3rd Ministerial Meeting on Industry on 8-10 October 2012 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The earlier meetings developed policies and mechanisms with a view to utilizing existing as well as potential capacities and put together collective effort for industrial development in the Member States. The “Dhaka Declaration” entails a pragmatic approach to move in the direction of expanding industrial and technological cooperation. It also lays out a number of practical policies and measures towards increasing industrial and market opportunities as well as financial resources.
The 4th Meeting will revisit earlier decisions and review the outcome so far achieved as well as consider restructuring the framework of mechanism, including redistributing the Working Group and Task Forces, within the broad spectrum of D-8 cooperation. The upcoming meeting is also expected to discuss the initiation of projects and/or programmes in order to implement the policies into actions.
