Secretary-General calls on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister of Bangladesh

D-8 Secretary-General Dr. Seyed AliMohammad Mousavi called on Mr. Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation & Tourism of Bangladesh on 26 August 2014 at the Bangladesh Secretariat.     
Dr. Mousavi expressed confidence that Bangladesh’s engagement with the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation would continue to be more intensive than ever before and Bangladesh’s role as the esteemed member of the Organization would be expanded to a level that may contribute to gaining the maximum benefit from this forum for our peoples.
Mousavi informed the Minister of the latest developments taking place in Civil Aviation sector and conveyed that the Secretariat was working in full swing to implement the vision set by the Organization’s leaders. He also apprised the Minister of the outcome of the 8th meeting of the Directors-General of Civil Aviation and Expert Working Group. He sought the Minister’s support in furthering the common agenda to consolidate the partnership among the Member States. 
Mousavi thanked the Minister for all the support rendered by his Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority in successfully holding the meeting in Dhaka. He appreciated the efforts and hard work of the Civil Aviation Authority in organizing the meeting smoothly. 
Minister Menon thanked the Secretary-General for the update and assured him of all cooperation. He informed that Bangladesh as the founding member of the Organization remained committed and active in furthering the vision and objectives of the Organization in order to contribute to the uplift of life and living standards of the peoples of the region.
